Sawyer's Place guest designer - project #2

I made a Smash page and a card with the other 2 washi tapes I received in the guest designer pack.
The Mauve lines tape and Black & White Zig Zag washi tape, part of the Sampson Collection.
My card is featured here.

Unfortunately they couldn't use my Smash page because there were too many non-Sawyer's Place tapes on it. (Damn my washi tape addiction!!)

Sawyer's Place guest designer - Project #1

Well here it is.....project #1. Using Sawyer's Place - On Time Cogs & Clocks washi tape, I also used Black & White Script washi tape from the Ophelia collection.

The photo is of my grandfather on the right and my great uncle on the left, he is holding a cat that he found during the war. The cat was his companion during the war, unfortunately he had to be left behind when my great uncle returned home.

Sawyer's Place guest designer at work!

So, I received my replacement guest designer washi tape pack a couple of days ago. I have been working on a scrapbook page all day! Going with a vintage page using the cogs & clocks design washi tape. I will blog more about it tomorrow with pics.

Shattered!

I'm so upset right now! Just found out that Sawyer's Place had sent my "guest designer" pack mid May, I never received it!! They have already chosen their new designer, so I missed out without even knowing it! I'm so upset, can't believe that this being the only package that ever goes missing on me is the one that mattered the most.  In tears :(

Postcrossing

I joined post-crossing a few days ago. I had heard about it before but never actually joined.
I just sent my first 4 postcards, they are going to Russia, Thailand, Belarus & Japan!  Will be interesting to see where my postcards come from.

24 hour Smash challenge

I joined the 24 hour challenge . And this is the page I created for the 2nd challenge, using flowers & washi tape! I didn't get a whole lot of time over the weekend to sit & Smash due to work.

I printed out a pretty postcard that I found on Pinterest  and took pics with my Instax camera.

Ribboned!

 so.....I found this metal dress form at "The Reject Shop" for $45.















I thought it would look great covered in ribbons!! I had so many ribbons in my stash it was great to finally use a few of my favourites. It took me about 6 hours over 2 days to cut and tie all the ribbons on, it was fun though! Love how it turned out :)

Smashy pages

So lately I have been 'Smashing', sort of like scrapbooking but not!  This has brought my creative side out again as I hadn't made a scrapbook page in a long time. Since I started Smashing I have also been making little tags, stamping, and
other little bit and pieces to put in my Smash book. As well as Smashing I have made the mixed media canvases I put on here earlier.  I love creating!

So today I took a little walk around my home (emphasis on little) to take some pics of some of my creations that I have 'just lying around'. I have done a LOT of different arty and crafty things.......here are some of them!

I just received an email from Sawyer's Place telling me I have a place as 'guest designer'! They put the call out for guest designers on April 3, I thought I would give it a go and sent the only pics I had of projects I had done using washi tape (they weren't that great either!)  see them below.................

I can't wait to start 'designing' lol

maybe I will start practising already! i do have a LOT of washi tape!

I love shopping in the city! Although it takes around 4 hours to get there!
Every school holidays I like to take a day trip to Melbourne with 1 or both of my kids, this time I took one of them. I spent most of the time shopping but we also had some 'kid fun' time at the Melbourne Museum.

We went to 3 Typo stores, I had an $80 giftcard to spend so this what I bought....

Smash*ing!

I discovered Smash* books earlier this year, from a friend on facebook. I ordered my first one online from www.bluebazaar.com.au , my first was the Green Eco one.

 I decorated the front with metallic pens & Kindy Glitz.

So this is my profile pic.
It's wooden letter that I painted then covered the front with scrapbooking paper. I then added 3 paper flowers with brads and tied on various ribbons & threads.

what to do

I'm not sure what to do or where to start here! Everyone else's blogs look great!
I have a tendency to start these things and never get around to doing anything with them.
